The Sixth Annual Fiber Arts Festival is fast approaching and we cannot wait!
The Festival will be held at the Oxford Powerhouse on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30, 2016, with some additional classes and opening reception on Thursday, January 28, 2016.
Every day, we will post information about one of the 22 classes and information about one of the participating vendors.
Our featured teacher today is Beth Collier-Shafer.
Beth has been spinning for almost 9 years. She and her husband Steve own Three Creeks Farm, a small family farm in Charlotte, TN where they have sheep, goats and a variety of other animals. They also sell their fleeces, roving and spinning related products. Beth has done numerous spinning demonstrations often dressed in 18th century or civil war era clothing and enjoys sharing her love of spinning with anyone who will listen. She also needle felts and does various types of dyeing including natural, food coloring and chemical dyes.
Beth will be teaching Drop Spindle for Beginners, Needle Felt a Fairy, Needle Felt a Creature, and Introduction to Spinning.
Call the Shop starting on December 20 to sign up for Beth’s classes! Space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon. For full class listings, visit our class page.
