EZ’s Baby Surprise Jacket Explicated! – Fiber Arts Festival – January 28-30

_MG_8241_mediumThe Sixth Annual Oxford Fiber Arts Festival is only a few weeks away and we cannot wait!

The Festival will be held at the Oxford Powerhouse on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30, 2016, with some additional classes and opening reception on Thursday, January 28, 2016.  Every day, we will post information about one of the 22 classes and information about one of the participating vendors.

Our featured class today is Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Baby Surprise Jacket Explicated!

Jennifer Miller will teach this class on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Baby Surprise Jacket is a very charming, adaptable, useful pattern that works, as written for newborns through toddlers.  This famous pattern must be easy, since tens of thousands have been made over the years – and that counts only those posted on Ravelry!  However – EZ’s writing style is famously conversational and not particularly linear.  With this class and the basic pattern, you will be able to make it quickly!  The resulting cardigan sweater is easy and lends itself to endless creativity.  Jennifer has constructed dozens of BSJs in all sizes and has created her own annotation to the basic pattern.  For required homework and supplies, call Knit1.  This class will cost $40.

Call the Shop starting on December 20 to sign up for this class!  Space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon.  For full class listings, visit our class page.
