jennifer miller bio picThe Sixth Annual Fiber Arts Festival is fast approaching and we cannot wait!

The Festival will be held at the Oxford Powerhouse on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30, 2016, with some additional classes and opening reception on Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Every day, we will post information about one of the 22 classes and information about one of the participating vendors.

Our featured teacher today is Jennifer Miller.

Jennifer brings her background in marketing, psychology, counseling, art history, science, and metaphysics to her knitting classroom. A yarn and color designer, Jennifer is the creator of Theodora’s Pearls, nationally-known handpainted and hand-dyed yarns, featuring unusual and luxury fibers. Jennifer is dedicated to promoting creative confidence in every knitter, enhancing knitting skills, and encouraging new and innovative experimentation in yarn! A self-taught artist, sourcing inspiration from the natural world, folk art, and historical textiles, she shares her own creative journey as an example of how you can express yourself through fiber, creating beauty, harmony, and functionality. Jennifer’s popular classes include basic and advanced technique, knitwear design, creativity, lacework, texture, and color design. Jennifer is known for her content-rich classes, chock-full of tips, tricks, shortcuts, and easy tools to enhance the creative process.

Jennifer will be teaching Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Baby Surprise Jacket Explicated, Working with Handpainted Yarn, and Shawls from Beginning to End Without Charts or Math.
