Our featured teacher today is Kathy Berkshire.
Kathy creates work of knit art that looks like she has been knitting since she was 12. Shortly after she learned to knit, she won First Prize with her fair isle sweater – with matching mittens (oh goodness!) – at 4H.
She is a gifted knitter and a gifted teacher. Despite her gift, she recognizes the importance of continuing to learn and keeps her skills current. She also loves to share her knowledge with others.
Kathy has taught a wide range of classes in a number of venues. Her class offerings include topics such as lace, socks, fixing mistakes, finishing techniques, Fair Isle, Entrelac, Mosaic Knitting, Brioche, Moebius and other technique and project classes by request. She keeps current by attending yearly conferences and classes in knitting techniques as well as industry-related topics. Kathy is certified as a Master Knitter, Level 1. She is currently a partner at Knit1 Oxford, in Oxford, MS
Kathy will be teaching Explore Brioche.
