The Fiber Festival is a fond memory. It was exhilarating to spend time with indie fiber artists who create yarns that are made with so much love and care. They remind us of the value of their work to our craft. We are pleased to announce that we have added some remarkable yarns created by independent artisans to our yarn collection. The fibers will amaze, the colors will delight and your finished product will truly be one of a kind.
FOUR SEASONS – Coulter of YaloRun Textiles in Water Valley loves all things fiber related. She began as a quilter but has fallen in love with yarns. She is creative and energetic and we are the beneficiaries of her gift. She creates hand-dyed yarn using the finest fibers and dyes them with natural, locally-sourced foraged horticulture such as black walnut and privet berry. We named her yarns Four Seasons because the dyes will be available only when the foraged materials are ready. We are nearly our of her “winter series” that included Black walnut and privet berry. She is dyeing as we speak and we expect more fabulous colors soon!
SPLENDOR – We love all things Sky Loom Weavers from Cat Spring, Texas. Our history with them is long and fiber-filled. Penny and Peggy are fiber geniuses who create works of art. We are delighted to, once again, carry their fingering weight Splendor. Each skein is 400 yards of blended Superwash Wool and Bamboo. Suitable for socks or anything else that needs grand color.
THEODORA’S PEARLS – Everyone at the Festival went wild for Jennifer’s shawls. In particular, the Levity made with her Bamboo. We will carry it our Shop as soon as her dyes dry. THEN, we will knit the Levity together. Watch for it.
We are lucky to have so many wonderful artists willing to share their gifts with us. We are happy to be able to now share them with you. Come enjoy with us.
