Our featured class today is Shawl Design from Start to Finish without Charts or Math.
If you are ready to design your own shawl, this class is for you. Jennifer Miller will lead us on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. We will tackle the basics of shawl shaping, texture, and color combining. Participants will learn triangle, crescent, and heart-shaped shawls, focusing on personal design and creating the shawl size and features that you prefer. Class covers several shawl-starting methods, including garter tab, provisional cast on, and 3 stitch cast on. We’ll also cover some easy lace, picot, and garter edgings. This class costs $40.
Call the Shop starting on December 20 to sign up for this class! Space is limited.
The Festival will be held at the Oxford Powerhouse on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30, 2016, with some additional classes and opening reception on Thursday, January 28, 2016.
Every day, we will post information about one of the 22 classes and information about one of the participating vendors.
